Orientation & Meet Your Teacher - Aug 25

New Scholars: You are invited in to the school for an orientation session at 9:00-9:30am on Monday, August 25.

New & Returning Scholars: You are invited to meet your teacher on Monday, August 25:

• 9:30-10:00am - Kindergarten through 2nd grade

• 10:00-10:30am - 3rd through 5th grades

We recommend bringing them in on Monday September 25 when you meet your teacher. Please label your scholars supplies with his or her FIRST and LAST name

Uniform Policy

CMIT NES is a uniform school. Please view the uniform policy here: Uniform Policy 

NOTE: The old logo is acceptable during the 2025-2026 school year!

The PTO will be selling gently used uniforms on Monday, August 25 from 8:30am-11am in the gym. 

We accept Paypal, credit card and cash.

Please bring your own reusable bag!

Be sure to complete the Transportation Survey to let the school know how your scholar(s) will get to and from school each day:

• Commercial Transportation: Because there is no school bus service at CMIT NES, some families opt to arrange for private transportation. The school does not endorse or partner with any transportation companies.

NEW VOLUNTEERS:

1. Apply for a volunteer identification number (VIN) by clicking the "New Volunteer" button HERE

2. Get fingerprinted at a county location (HERE) or sign up for our on-site fingerprinting 9/13 (HERE) Note: There are limited timeslots! 

3. Complete the PGCPS Safe Schools online trainings: These will be emailed within a few days of completing step 1 above

4. PGCPS will email you an approval pending successful background check and completed trainings.

5. Complete the CMIT NES Volunteer Form

6. Wait for notification of approval from the front office team

RETURNING VOLUNTEERS:

1. Re-apply by entering your email address and volunteer identification number HERE

2. Complete the PGCPS Safe Schools online trainings: These will be emailed within a few days of completing step 1 above

3. PGCPS will email you an approval pending successful background review and completed trainings.

4. Complete the CMIT NES Volunteer Form

5. Wait for notification of approval from the front office team
